Significant Changes for the 2010/2011 SCVA Junior Club Season including tryout/commitment dates, eligibility for outstanding balances and playoff format changes.
1. Club Tryout and commitments dates for junior girlsa. Revised commitment dates i. 14 and Under Divisions – October 11th, 2010ii. 15 and 16 and Under Divisions – November 15 th, 2010 iii. 18 and Under Divisions – November 22nd, 2010 b. Deposit checks given to clubs prior to commitment dates i. Can be cashed ii. If refund is necessary, the club has until December 31st to refund the deposit iii. Deposits given following the commitment dates are not required to berefunded 2. Eligibility of players who have outstanding balances with clubs a. Junior players will not be eligible to participate in the SCVA if they have an outstanding balance (over $250) with a club for the 2009-2010 season b. Club directors will be in contact with the SCVA regarding the outstanding balance 3. Playoff formats for junior girls a. 12 and Under Division i. Divisions I and II will have playoffs ii. First round of playoffs will be 2 out of 3 games iii. Following rounds of playoffs will be 1 game to 25 b. 14 and 15 and Under Divisions i. Divisions I – IV will have playoffs ii. Divisions I and II a. First round of playoffs will be 2 out of 3 games b. Following rounds will be 1 game to 25 c. Brackets will be played all the way through iii. Divisions III and IV a. Playoffs will only be one round to determine movement between divisions b. Playoff match will be 2 out of 3 games c. 16 and 18 and Under Divisions i. Divisions I – IV will have playoffs ii. First round of playoffs will be 2 out of 3 games iii. Following rounds of playoffs will be 1 game to 25 5. Transfer of junior female player from one club to another club a. For the SCVA season the transfer deadline will be Friday, February 25, 2011 b. For post SCVA season a player may be released and transferred i. Following the SCVA Regionals ii. Current team must be completed with competitive season iii. Current Club Director must release the player iv. Player may transfer to another club for post season competition |
